Pharmacy technicians are accused of stealing more than $1 million from a local business in May 2016.
News24 has obtained court documents that allege the theft occurred at a home that was undergoing renovations.
The complaint says a pharmacist told the store manager that the shoplifter left the money in the refrigerator while she was in the bathroom.
The pharmacist said she left the items in the kitchen, and the manager called police.
Investigators said the pharmacist admitted to the shoplifting to investigators.
They said the shopkeeper had received the money from another customer and used it to pay for repairs.
The pharmacy technician was arrested in February and faces three charges of theft, fraud, and embezzlement.
